We combine professional experience at some of the most exclusive hotel operators in the world. We live and breath hospitality and we will help you exceed the expectations of even the most discerning guests. We also know that this does not happen by chance. It requires a dedicated team and thoughtful hotel operations in which their talent can blossom.

We call it 'hospitality culture' and it is our way to make sure that your guests not only return time and again, but also spread the word to become ambassadors for your brand.

Peggy Amelung Laurenzana

Following the collapse of the Berlin Wall, Peggy ventured from her native Leipzig to Germany’s luxury hotspot: the island of Sylt. With a degree in hotel business administration, her position as a restaurant manager at the long established Gogärtchen was the stepping stone to a career that led her first to New York as part of the opening management teams of The Regent Wall Street Hotel followed by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Central Park and then on to Bulgari Hotels & Resorts first hotel in Milan – arguably one of the best hotels in the world.

Peggy started sharing her international experience and her trademark approach of ‘effortless hospitality’ as a consultant and coach helped by being fluent in German, English, Italian and Spanish. Having perfected the art of caring for the most discerning guests, it was Francis Ford Coppola who first sought Amelung & Partners’ help for the opening of his Palazzo Margherita in Southern Italy in 2012.

Rosa Domingo

Born and bred in Barcelona, Rosa became a member of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company family early on. With her worldly language skills, being fluent in Catalan, Spanish, English and Italian, her natural first destination was Hotel Arts Barcelona – famed for its personalised Ritz-Carlton service and unparalleled attention to detail.

Rosa developed her unique touch for international hotel openings as a member of the management opening teams at The Ritz Carlton New York, Central Park and Battery Park. More prestigious launches should follow: in Istanbul, in Santiago de Chile and in Milan. With her strengths in operational standards and processes Rosa personifies our 'hospitality culture'. She is also more than happy to share her experience by engaging with the management, documenting processes and writing easy-to-understand guidelines that bring out the best in any hotel team.

She is a founding partner of Amelung & Partners.

Claudia Leloup

When the question was whether to become either a journalist or a hotelier, the career choice was easy. There are occasions when journalists have to spell out some unpleasant truths. Claudia prefers good news. She also has a passion for bringing people together and making their lives more comfortable, both essential characteristics of a good hotelier.

Claudia started her career at InterContinental Hotels before joining The Hotel Plaza Athenee followed by the St. Regis, both established names of the New York hotel scene. Not only could she converse with the hotels' mostly German, French and American guests from the art and business world in their native tongue, the loyal following amongst this notoriously demanding cosmopolitan clientele also pays testimony to her success in exceeding their expectations with a steady flow of inspiring ideas.

Claudia works with us on projects as a partner.
